I believe that if you can change your mindset from quick, right now, instant, short-term thinking; to patient, slow, methodical, long term-thinking every area in your life will improve. This mindset is especially important when it comes to fitness because like everything, it is a process. It takes time for your body to change, adapt, and grow. It’s no different than a lot of things in life. Once you realize this you can begin to respect the process of achieving wellness results. I’ve been in the fitness community since 2010 and the number one characteristic I've seen in people who reach their wellness goals is long-term mindset. Don’t get me wrong, they work extremely hard day after day but they don’t put pressure on the short-term. They realize that success comes from 'the daily detail' over and over again. Now, if you can adapt that mindset to your fitness goals, you can't be stopped. Most people over-estimate what they can accomplish in a year but underestimate what they can do in 10 years The quickest way to lose results is to rush the process. One of my favorite influencers has a famous says it best... "micro speed, macro patience". That is to say, put the work and effort in day after day but balance that intensity with a long-term mindset. When you find that push and pull the results seem to inherently happen. You won't get caught up in the short-term adversity and turbulence. This in turn allows you to become ingrained in the process and that's when things that changing.
I just want to encourage you to find that mindset sweet spot. Don't be discouraged if you can't find it right away. Like everything in wellness, it takes time and practice. It really is a paradox. Patience actually breeds that quickest results. Lastly, if you have a some of the foundation mindset principles associated with wellness results but don't have structure or direction please don't hesitate to contact me. Whether that's a simple email or a free strategy call. I would love to hear your story and give you some pratical free direction towards your wellness goals! Your best is yet to come.
